Throughout the month of February, Corporate & Museum Frame at 301 West Broad Street hosted a very special art exhibit and sale titled Postcards for Lindsay. Local (and not so local) artists donated small framed and unframed pieces: some were existing pieces, others were created specially for the event. Prints, paintings, drawings, photography, collage: original works by both well-knowns and unknowns sold for $25, $35, $50, $100 and $150 depending on size and medium.
Every buyer received a wonderful work of art at a remarkable price; some made surprisingly valuable purchases. But each sale was worth far more than simply the value of the art itself, as 100% of the over $17,000 in proceeds will go to help Lindsay and her family.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Corporate & Museum Frame for offering to host the event, and for all the time and energy Anahita, Joseph and staff dedicated to making this such a success. We’d also like to thank the volunteers and friends of Lindsay who helped out on the opening nights: it was frantically busy, and it could not have been done without them.
Most of all, we’d like to thank the artists who so generously donated their work, and all of you who came and bought. Your donations and your purchases have truly made a positive difference for Lindsay and her family. Thank you for your kindness.

Richmond came out and rocked for Lindsay at The Canal Club on Sunday, March 9. The concert featured over 30 local musicians jammin’ for a great cause. Tickets for the pre-concert reception, the concert and sales of raffle items raised over $16,000! All proceeds will assist Lindsay and her family with ongoing medical and rehabilitations expenses. Special thanks go out to friends of Mike Ess and the generous sponsors who made this event possible: Richmond Music, The Canal Club, Melitto’s Restaurant, Legend Brewing Company, Bandito’s, the Graziano family and all the companies that donated items for the raffle. It is truly inspiring what can happen when people care.

Sponsored by the Department of Music and the Department of Fashion Design and Merchandising at Virginia Commonwealth University
A big THANK YOU to everyone who supported the Concert for Lindsay, by buying tickets, donating time, or donating money. In particular, we must thank the Department of Fashion Design and Merchandising and the Department of Music at VCU, as well as Three Monkeys Restaurant, who are all truly responsible for making the concert happen and making it such a huge success.
Sales of tickets alone raised over $21,000. With bar sales, bracelet and t-shirt sales, and funds donated via PayPal on loveoflindsay.com, the final total will be even higher, surpassing our wildest hopes. Our deepest gratitude to all of you who so clearly proved you care.
